1. Remove The Threads

How To Make Ripped Jeans - Remove The Threads

Our everyday jeans are made with white threads horizontally and blue threads vertically. I had idea about this until i decided to carry out this exercise my self. So, in order to get this distressed striped look all you have to do is to tweeze out the vertical blue threads off the patch which you marked out earlier on your jeans. As a beginner, having to remove the first few threads will be the hardest, but it will all get easy as you keep on repeating the process.

2. Fray The Edges

Fraying the edges of your jeans is another cool fashion style to give to your jean. If you are not used to trying new stuff out, then this is the best place to start something new. It is fashionable, yet not overrated. Cut your jeans to the level you would love to apply the fray and start the removing process using the tweezer you got. If a tweezer is not available, then you can also scrape the edges off with a razor or preferably with a sand paper.

3. Fray The Pockets

How To Make Ripped Jeans - Fray The Pockets

Adding new fashion as you rip your jeans is the best way of creating unique designs and fraying of your jean pocket is also a nice fashion. It adds extra spice and makes it look great. Just take off the top layer of the pocket, and prevent going too deep. Then you can either scrape the surface with a razor or sandpaper or just remove some threads with tweezers.

4. Make Holes

How To Make Ripped Jeans - Make Holes

Making holes to rip your jeans is also a style that is in vogue right now. As a starter, trying smaller holes would be preferable or if you want to try bigger ones you can try them closer to the pocket so that you can still be covered with the pocket cloth if the hole gets big or awkward. If you feel confident then you can try anything out. make a hole where you want with scissors and then fray the edges, or you could just remove threads with a razor.

5. Scrape Or Bleach Off

Add subtle touches to rip your jeans with some touch of other methods or just using it alone. Either way is totally going to come all good. You could add bleach to get a faded look or take a or even a steel wool and scrape off the parts of the jeans on which you want the faded look to appear at.

  • Now that you’ve gotten the full picture on shredding and drilling holes into your jeans, let’s go over a few things you should have at your fingertips. It is also important to understand how to strike a balance without actually ripping the jeans apart, or making it look like tattered. Also, know the best position to add each design.
  • overdoing the distressed look can leave a bad aftertaste and portray a different picture. But, according to the reportd from fashion police, two and a half rule, looks and works good. So, two holes, two shreds, and a scrape is the best starting point. Feel free to switch it, but this is the best words for beginners.
  • The best place to add shreds are the thigh region, and making them long is also good.
  • Holes normally starts on the knee and go up two inches. Don’t go far with the holes and keep the length to an inch and only make them as wide as your leg, because they end up exposing more skin when you sit. And for a plus, horizontal ones are far better.
  • Scrapes that are near or above the thigh are great.

Let me just make this straight once and for all. People think that by adding more layers means adding extra pounds or extra size, but that’s really not the fact. Adding layers gives your body the right fitting it needs. And it prevents people from having a direct view of your body. If not for anything, it is really a blessing!

2. Black Be Your BFF

how+to+look+skinny+overnight

Everything about your fashion style and wardrobe have to be all black. I understand the beauty and good looks whites and pastels give, however, just keep it all dark and black as much as possible can add all the spice.

how+to+dress+to+look +thinner+in+summer

High-waist jeans should be on one of the top wears you should have on your mind because they tuck in most of the flab and helps in making you look slender, tall, and slim and also beautiful. The ones that are black, stretchable, and stop near your ankle are what you should invest in.

5. Inner Wear

how+to+dress+thinner

Innerwear is a big part of this whole story and is the base for everything you will build on. It is not advisable to wear a sloppy bra and thongs that add more attention to what you are putting on. Wear a bra that is fully your size and without bulges; your underwear should preferably be stretchable and high up to your waist so as to cover the flab. Either way, good undergarments are very important and hs more than one advantage, so invest them.

6. Accessories

7. Prints And Patterns

how+to+dress+to+look+slimmer+in+photos

Avoid anything that has horizontal prints, be it big or small. Vertical print dresses with nice deep necks are what you really need if you want to look slimmer and taller. And also, patterns that have A-line cut or a pencil skirt can create a blossom look for you.

8. Matching Separates

how+to+dress+to+look+slimmer+without+dieting

wearing your separates instead of wearing matching sets is a better picture of you. Especially colors entail black, blue, gray on them.

9. Proportions

how+to+dress+to+look+slimmer+in+photos

putting on a loose shirt or a top with fitted trousers would definitely work towards your advantage. You could also try it the other way round, but avoid that if your midriff is always your pain area. Also, body-hugging clothes are a no go area for you.

10. Posture

In this post we have provided a guide on how to go about the correct application of your eye shadow, so without any further ado let go into the business of the day.

Before we can start talking about the eye shadow, we need to look at the various products required to get the perfect eye makeup.

You Will Need

  1. Moisturizer
  2. Eye cream
  3. Eye primer
  4. Eyeshadows
  5. Eye makeup brushes
  6. A kohl pencil
  7. An eyeliner
  8. A mascara
The type of brush to be used for this tutorial is very important so as to achieve good result, so below are the brush we would be using through out this tutorial.

Types Of Brushes

Different brushes have different functions. One would be useful for packing on the eyeshadow, the other for blending and another for smoking out the lower lash line. Let’s look at a few of them.

1. Flat Stiff Brush

This brush can be used for applying eyeshadow on the eyelid, as well as under the lower lash line. A flat brush is best for packing the product onto the eyelid. The MAC 239 is a great product for this. This also works extremely well when you want to apply a glitter pigment as the stiff nature of the brush helps in picking up the product easily.

2. Pencil Brush

The pencil brush is used to apply the product onto the lower lash line. This is great for when you’re smoking out the lower lash line, or if you want to create a soft look. You can also use this at the crease to create a soft crease line. It works well at the outer corners of the eye where you want to add intensity as well.

3. Stiff Dome Brush

This brush is perfect for applying and blending out colors. It’s especially useful when you are using more than one color and want to create a smooth transition without removing the shade differences.

4. Fluffy Dome Brush

The fluffy dome brush is for blending, blending, and then – you guessed it right – blending some more. It helps you achieve that flawless eyeshadow transition from one shade to the other. It helps to diffuse any harsh lines and makes the transition look smooth.

This are the various brush needed for this tutorial, so get your brush out and get ready for the tutorial because we are about to begin.

How To Apply Eyeshadow – Step-By-Step Tutorial

Step 1: It’s All About That Base

how+to+apply+eyeshadow

Prepping the eye area is extremely crucial since it’s all about that base (Meghan Trainor might be talking about a different kind of base, but she’s not wrong!). Start by cleaning the area around the eyes. Follow it up with a moisturizer or an eye cream. Next, prep the eye area with an eye primer so that the makeup stays put for a longer time and gives a seamless finish. You can also use a concealer that matches the skin tone around your eyes. Apply the concealer with a brush and seal it with a translucent or transparent powder. This will make the eye area look even, make the skin crease-proof, and also conceal any discoloration of the skin. It also creates a clean base so that the colors sit better.

Step 2: Chose The Type of Eyeshadow

how+to+apply+eyeshadow

It’s now time for the actual eye makeup. You should always analyze the shape of your eyes and accordingly decide on a makeup technique that will enhance them. The eye area consists of the eyelid, the crease, and the brow bone. It’s also important that you know which shade or texture to use on each of these areas. Use textures like frost/shimmer/shine on the eyelid and brow bone, and matte finish textures on the crease.

Pro Tip– Use darker shades of eyeshadows to contour the eyes at the crease and use lighter shades at the center of the eyelids to make the eyes pop.
Start by applying the color on the eyelid with a flat eyeshadow brush using a sweeping or patting motion. Here, a dull gold shade in frost texture was used, since there is very less lid space. This lighter shade will make the eyelid more prominent. Start the application from the center and then sweep it towards both inner and outer corners. Apply the color evenly on the lid and deposit more for intensity.

Step 3: Dark Shades for the Crease

how+to+apply+eyeshadow

Now, we concentrate on the crease area. Use a darker shade of eyeshadow to define the eye shape. To achieve this, go for shades like deep browns, black, deep gray, dark purple, etc. Start applying from the outer corner of the eye, making a ‘V’, and blend it halfway through the eyelid with a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush. Do this using the windshield wiper motion. Keep blending until the color starts to look softer. In order to highlight the brow bone, go for lighter shades in either frost or shimmer textures.

Step 4: Rim The Eyes With Kohl

how+to+apply+eyeshadow

To make the eye makeup more dramatic, use a kohl pencil on the lower lash line. Smudge it with a smudger/pencil brush if you want a smokey effect.

Pro Tip – Using a white/beige colored eye pencil on the lower rims of the eyes is the best way to make them look bigger and brighter.

Step 5

how+to+apply+eyeshadow

 corner and gradually pull Pinit
Apply eyeliner to define the eyes. Start from the outer corner and gradually pull it inwards using small strokes. You can keep it simple, or make it dramatic. And, when in doubt, just wing it out!

Step 6

how+to+apply+eyeshadow

Here’s the Final Look:

Afraid That Your Eye Makeup Will Crease?

In order to prevent your eye makeup from creasing and smudging, you can follow these tips.

  • Invest in a good base or primer as it will instantly boost your eye makeup and will make the eyeshadow stay put for a long time.
  • Make sure to set the eyeshadow with a powder base if you’ve used a cream-based eyeshadow.
  • Use a gel or waterproof eyeliner to prevent any transferring of the product.

Some Quick Tips to Apply Eyeshadow Perfectly

  • It’s always good to finish your eye makeup first and then move on to your base makeup. That way, if there’s an eyeshadow fallout under or around the eyes, you can quickly clean it up without spoiling your base makeup.
  • To define the crease area, use a pencil brush and then blend it with a fluffy brush.
  • Choose a formula that works best for you. They’re available in either cream, powder, or pressed form. Cream eyeshadows can be used as a base for powder eyeshadows.
  • In case you have hooded or deep set eyes, try applying the eye makeup with your eyes open instead of closed so that the crease color is actually visible.
  • If you have trouble drawing the ‘V’ on the outer corner of the eyes, then draw a ‘#’ with an eye pencil and blend it immediately to avoid stark edges.
  • To avoid eyeshadow fall out, powder the area under your eyes with a transparent or translucent powder before beginning the eye makeup. Once you are done, just sweep the powder off.
  • You can also wait to conceal your under eyes till after the eye makeup.
  • Make sure to use clean brushes as this will give you the best transition.
Applying eyeshadow perfectly takes a little time and patience, but once you’ve got it down, it becomes very easy. I can’t believe there was a time when I was intimidated! Now, I look forward to the days when I have to attend a party or a wedding so that I can go all out with my eye makeup! If you have any queries, just comment in the box below.
